Canine enteric coronaviruses: emerging viral pathogens with distinct recombinant spike proteins.

Canine enteric coronavirus (CCoV) is alphacoronavirus infect dogs are strongly associated with enteric coronavirus cats and pigs. While traditionally CCoV cause gastrointestinal clinical signs of mild, there are increasing reports of CCoV deadly  infections Horse Recombinant Proteins in dogs, with evidence of both gastrointestinal and systemic spread of the virus. As a result, CCoV now considered an emerging infectious disease of dogs. 

In addition to the two known serotypes CCoV, novel recombinant variant CCoV spike protein has been found to contain N-terminal domain (NTDs) are closely related to those of the cat and pig strains. Increasing severity of disease in dogs and the emergence of new CCoVs can be associated with high rates of recombination in gene spikes that can occur during infection by more than one type CCoV on the same host.

OmpL1 recombinant proteins as antigens diagnostic for the detection of canine leptospirosis.


microscopic agglutination test (MAT) is a standard method for the diagnosis of leptospirosis, which is laborious and interpretation of results is subjective. This work describes the usage-based recombinant IgG ELISA for serodiagnosis of leptospirosis. 

We use outside OmpL1 recombinant membrane protein https://gentaur.us/ as an antigen to IgG enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). A total of 475 serum samples were subjected to dog IgG ELISA; 294 positive sera for the ELISA, while positive for MAT 283. All samples were positive for positive for ELISA MAT also, however, some samples were negative for positive MAT for ELISA, which shows that based recombinant IgG ELISA showed a sensitivity of 100% when compared to the MAT. 

Thus, this study demonstrates that recombinant IgG ELISA-based OmpL1 seems to be a better alternative to MAT for the diagnosis of leptospirosis and rOmpL1 protein can be used as a potential diagnostic antigen in different assay formats for leptospirosis.
